Project Summary
The 14.5-mile METRO Green Line Extension (Southwest LRT) is a $2.767 billion, 16-station project connecting downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie through St. Louis Park, Hopkins, and Minnetonka. As Minnesota’s largest infrastructure project, it features 29 new bridges, two tunnels, and 5 miles of freight rail relocation. Global Specialty Contractors worked as a third tier subcontractor completing the concrete scope for 3600 track feet of embedded track and over 36,000 track feet of direct fixation track construction.
